The Time constructed by the paleontologist in which the Mesozoic Era started about 248 million years ago and ended about 65 million years ago. This period was divided into Triassic period, Jurassic Period and the last one was Cretaceous Period. Mesozoic Era witnessed the evolution and extinction of Dinosaurs. During the Mesozoic Era many dinosaurs came into being and many disappeared. In the Triassic period of Mesozoic Era many early dinosaurs became extinct and some adapted to the changes and developed further in the Jurassic period.

After the Triassic period came the Jurassic period also known as the “The Age Of dinosaurs” many herbivorous and carnivorous, big and small dinosaurs came into existence.  This was the period when the dinosaurs began to flourish. The giant Sauropods appeared like the Diplodocus and Apatosaurus. Brachiosaurus, Camarasaurus, Ceratosaurus, Stegosaurus, Dilophosaurus were also there. The Allosaurus and Compsognathus were the Carnivorous therapods and some- birds like dinosaurs also evolved. But the late Jurassic period there was mass extinction with enormous Sauropods and most of the stegosaurid were wiped out.

The third period of Mesozoic Era was the Cretaceous period, a time when unique dinosaurs could be seen on the earth. The growth and development of the dinosaur was on its peak. Albertosaurus, Corythosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Anatosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Carnotaurus, Triceratops, Tarbosaurus, Monoclonius, Gallimimus were there in Cretaceous period. But this period ended with another extinction of dinosaurs along with many animals.
